Five friends in the iron idustry spend much of their lifes working the blast furnaces in a small Pennsylvanian town. During their free time their enjoy hunting deer togheter. One of them is about to get married and they get ready to celebrate this and to mark the departure of three others to Vietnam. Two years later the war rages on and the three friends in Vietnam find themselves prisoners in a Viet Cong camp. They make it back home safetly, but the horrors of the camp still haunt them.
